The Claxton Hotel is often praised for its very clean rooms and modern bathrooms, with guests particularly appreciating the showers and some even enjoying jacuzzi baths. The hotel's location is ideal, right at the sea front, with some rooms offering sea views; it's also conveniently near shops and restaurants. Breakfast is generally considered lovely, though some guests have noted that the corridors have a darker decor and feel somewhat narrow. The hotel is also dog-friendly, which many guests appreciate, especially with the beach being just across the road for dog walks.

uninspiring viewrushed breakfast
My room faced the back of the hotel. The view was not inspiring, and I noticed some external noise. Breakfast service felt rushed, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. This impacted the overall dining experience.. I expected a more relaxed atmosphere. The limited parking also proved inconvenient. I had to park some distance away.
